In the last six years, the Lord has allowed us to take over 150 tons of Bibles and other Christian literature into Mexico. We work almost exclusively in the remote desert and mountainous areas. The Lord has allowed us to begin working in the area called the Sierras de Nuevo Leon, which is an extreme remote mountainous area where Catholicism has never reached.
The only way to get there is by walking many hours and carrying our food and equipment in on pack mules. We've been able to win just a few people to the Lord in this area, not because they are hard hearted, but because they have never heard the gospel of Christ. They are typical mountain people that cannot read and are very slow to receive anything or anybody new. They are, however, beginning to receive us and respond to the gospel for salvation. It took us a little over a year to win the first person to Christ, but now they are beginning to open up to us.
